Happy Sunday!  From attacking animals to penthouse suites, it has been a busy week here at the Jetsetter’s Homestead.  Let’s dive right into what’s been keeping those activity meters on our Apple Watches running at full levels.

Recapping Our Week

I’m wrapping up my time here on the Seabourn Sojourn Alaska inaugural cruise.  I will have been gone a total of 15 nights with my mom and I’m starting to miss my bed.  It will take me some time to finish writing up all of the things we saw and did, but I started covering some of that this week.  Jim has been holding down the fort and has knocked out quite a few significant projects in my absence.  I cannot wait to see what he’s been up to, but really I can’t wait to see him first!  (American Airlines had better get me in on time on Tuesday morning so that I get home before he goes to work!)

Here is what we’ve been busy writing this week from our two separate outposts:

Iceland, Cuba, China, Alaska, and Texas in a Week: The Weekly Recap – A catch up from the prior week including quite a few travel summaries

Emotional Support Animal Attacks Passenger on Flight – Lapdog mauls passenger… lawsuit ensues.

Round Up: French Table Etiquette, Heroin Overdose Inflight, Longest Flight Routes

Round Up: Qatar Travel Impact, Laptop Data Security, Missing the Mountain, and Fyre Redux

Flight Identity Theft, Earn Bonus Miles – Subscribe to LifeLock, get miles.

Round Up: Another Scorpion Attacks Passenger, Lost Luggage Issues, Heroic NYC Subway Lift

Seven Things to Love About the Seabourn Alaska Cruises – The list could be longer but champagne and caviar were waiting.

Round Up: Texting While Driving, Zuckerberg Honeymoon, Uber Shakeup

Seabourn Penthouse Suite Review with Photos – You might have suite envy after this.

Round Up: Improve Your Next Flight, Star Wars Backyard, World’s Smallest Cheapest Jet

More Sex Love and Uber – What is going on the back seat, front seat, and boardroom seat of that Uber?!

5,000 Mile Alaska Mileage Plan Bonus Offer is Back – Free miles, again.  Don’t say we didn’t try to give them away!

We love Instagram. It is a great place for us to share our day-to-day life with you. Whether it is the view from the window or travel photos, we like sharing a glimpse of our day. Follow us on Instagram at jetsettershomestead for that little slice of life. We are also having a blast lately with Instagram Stories.  Unlike our Instagram posts, these disappear after 24 hours so you have to check back regularly on the app and look at the top bar to click on these short photos or videos to see what we have been up to that day.  They may also be a hint of future content to come!

Affiliate Spotlight

We pay for 100% of our travel and other reviewed/discussed items on Jetsetter’s Homestead unless otherwise explicitly disclosed. Affiliate or marketing partnerships help compensate us for the time and resources we put into Jetsetter’s Homestead. Our major affiliate partnership is with Amazon but we also have a growing list of other companies we have hand-selected. These companies pay us a small percentage of referred sales (or sometimes just product credit) if you use the links we provide. Each week we like to highlight one of the retailers we work with and why we like them!

Father’s Day is only a week away.  If you are still thinking about a great idea for a gift, you’ve got time to get in a subscription to something Dad might surely love – Grill Masters Club

So this is an interesting concept for anyone who loves BBQ – or fancies himself the King of the Grill.  For anywhere from $27.95-$32.95 a month, the man in your life can be treated to a shipment of grilling “must haves”.  The monthly boxes typically include 4-5 items such as rubs, marinades, sauces, recipes, and grill accessories.  Subscriptions ship out monthly and can be cancelled any time.  Try it for a month as a gift – or purchase 3, 6 or 12 months up front.

Grill Masters Club has two Father’s Day bonus add-on bundles now.  The Fathers Day Learner Bundle features a 3-month Grill Masters Club subscription plus bonus products from Meathead Goldwyn, Steven Raichlen, and Aaron Franklin.  (Yes, Jim’s favorite from Franklin’s BBQ!!!)  The Fathers Day Booze Bundle includes a 3-month Grill Masters Club subscription with a special beer mug, whiskey glass, koozie, and bottle opener.

You can still order Grill Masters Club and get it in time for Father’s Day so if you haven’t shopped yet, it isn’t too late.    This is the perfect summer gift for any dad who is the king of his backyard (and what dad is not??!!)

What’s Next?

I’m SO excited that I’m flying home from Alaska tomorrow.  While I’ve enjoyed the inaugural Seabourn Sojourn cruise to Alaska, I also cannot wait to be back at the homestead.  Because I will hit a busy travel streak for the remainder of the month, a few days to catch up at home will be most welcome.  I anticipate quite a bit of nesting and Netflix in our future.

We’ve been starting to make a few upgrades and tweaks to the website here.  As we compile our project list, if you have reader feedback or suggestions, please feel free to share them.  We take feedback seriously and love to hear from our readers.

This week I’ll be adding more content from the Alaska cruise and Jim will take the helm for the morning Round Up.  You may have noticed that we’ve also returned to a daily format with that feature.  Starting on Monday, Jim is going to take the reins for that each weekday morning.  We have been writing quite a bit of our content collaboratively here – and will continue that – but his sense of humor lends itself well to that daily news flash!

Look for us on both BoardingArea.com and Prior2Boarding.com each day as well as once-daily on our email feed and via our various social media channels.
