It has been a busy week around the Jetsetter’s Homestead. Almost crazy busy.
It’s time to start the weekly recap again – the omnibus post where you’ll not only catch what you’ve missed in our posts but also the little travel/life pieces of our lives. Not only are we back in the swing of things here on the site, but things have also been in motion in real life.
When I say in motion, for me personally that has meant a busy travel week. I’m in the middle of one of those weeks – seven days, six states, five flights, four hotels, three purposes, two pairs of shoes, and a partridge in a pear tree. I lied about that last part… maybe. But it’s no exaggeration to say that it has been a swirl.
So last Sunday, I introduced you guys to Jim. He’s pretty awesome and definitely made my life easier this week (from driving me to the airport on Monday morning when I couldn’t get an Uber quickly to shipping me my sorority badge when I forgot to pack it) – and all while juggling his own busy life.

He not only located the specific piece of jewelry I was looking for but also securely wrapped it and got it shipped out to me!
Jim talked about being home on Monday – a great introduction to the magic he has with words. *swoon* I’m a bit jealous because he is working on a remote project at the moment which meant getting to work from home all week while I’m off running around the US.
During one of my flights, I managed to fall down the internet rabbit hole and somehow stumbled across Paris syndrome. I’m utterly fascinated by this concept.
Meanwhile Jim talked about travel flexibility, something I thankfully have not had to worry about this week. “Tranquilo” is something I definitely need to make my mantra. (I’ve had days in the past where I could have used that. Many days. So many days.)
I’m personally looking forward to coming home on Sunday. And not just because I have a growing pile of boxes waiting for me from the online shopping I’m prone to doing in my hotel room.

My current box pile at home does not include my latest Trunk Club shipment.
I miss the homestead and I miss my own bed. Only one more night before I’m home!
I’ll leave you with a couple of my favorite Instagram moments this week as I was jumping between locations:
