Seabourn cruise line has announced a unique partnership with the United National Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).  This arrangement commits one million dollars from Seabourn across the multiple years of the agreement in exchange for access to special onboard speakers as part of the line’s Seabourn Conversations program that enriches guests through unique destination lectures and programming.  Seabourn will also offer special shore excursions and optional add-on tours when visiting ports with proximity to UNESCO World Heritage sites.

Angkor WatUNESCO’s sustainable tourism program focuses on travels that increase awareness of the heritage of these sites while maintaining standards of balanced tourism for involved communities to maintain site conservation and effective visitor management.

Seabourn’s cruise itineraries visit many of these in far-flung locations on all seven continents with over 150 sites on current cruise itineraries.  Current visits include sites such as the ruins of Pompeii, the Taj Mahal, and Komodo Island.

Seabourn’s small ship cruising experience (with current ships carrying no more than 450 passengers) allows access to ports that are not readily accessible by larger ships.  The line offers cruise fares beginning at $2,199 per person.  Fares on Seabourn are all-inclusive (with an emphasis on the “all” part – open bar with super call selections, open dining, no gratuities) with the only a few opt-in items as extras.
