Last week I pondered whether shows like The Bachelor inadvertently recreated the same environment that long distance dating creates.  My belief was that they do.

But are vacation romances really just about fantasy suites and too many tropical cocktails?

It seems there may be some science behind why we are more likely to fall in love (or lust) on vacation.  A New York Times columnist reviewed scientific research to see if it was possible to make two people fall in live under controlled circumstances.

After reviewing the article, the premise makes sense to me.  Perhaps The Love Boat was on to something after all!
