American Airlines AAdvantage program is running a limited time promotion with Cadillac. Test drive a Cadillac vehicle at any participating dealer, earn 7,500 AAdvantage miles.
I called the Cadillac Concierge today at (844) 469-2234 and after about 10 minutes on hold, I was able to schedule an appointment for this Thursday at my local dealership (Frank Kent Cadillac). There were still several appointments available so hopefully the opportunity will last a while longer!
I’m not in the immediate market for a new vehicle, but I did consider a Cadillac Escalade a couple of years ago (I ended up with my second Volvo, an XC60 instead). And if I were going to buy, its likely I’d give Frank Kent a spin.
I signed up to drive an Escalade, but I’m going to see if they will let me drive this SRX instead since it’s closer to what I drive now.
If you are interested in trying out this offer, I recommend you call quickly. I missed the boat the last time AAdvantage ran a test drive offer several years ago and kicked myself for it later. The test drive is reported to last approximately 10 minutes and don’t forget to get the proof you completed it just in case you have issues later with miles posting. The terms and conditions state that miles will take 4 to 6 weeks to post, so this isn’t a great way to get quick miles if you need them now, but its a good way to pad your account if you are getting close to an award you want!
To do this, you must be 21 or older and have a valid US drivers license. Employees of GM are not eligible. The total retail value of the miles is $221.00 and you are limited to one test drive per person, while supplies last. The terms and conditions also state the offer is nontransferable, nonnegotiable and not redeemable for cash.
Since we are talking about Frank Kent, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention another thing I love about this dealership – Kent & Co Wines.
Not only does the family own one of my favorite little neighborhood wine bars, but they also offer valet for their service department.
Drop your car at the wine bar in the morning, pick up a loaner (or take their complimentary shuttle), and pick your car up in the evening. Maybe consider lingering for a glass of wine from their extensive and ridiculously reasonably priced list.
It’s a pity they didn’t figure out some way to run this promo from the Magnolia Avenue wine bar… then I’d certainly be able to get all my friends out to take advantage of this AAdvantage promotion.
