The Love Boat… Soon Will Be Making Another Run
Fans of the iconic yet campy show that ran from 1977 to 1987 can rejoice – the crew of The Love Boat is reuniting!
Alas, it’s not for a new run of the series I faithfully watched with my babysitters (and later AS a babysitter) every Saturday night, but instead as the godparents of the Regal Princess which debuted this May.
The ceremony will be held on November 5 in Fort Lauderdale where the ship is currently in her maiden Caribbean season. The November event will kick off the cruise line’s 50th anniversary celebrations.
The new vessel carries 3,560 passengers – or almost five times the capacity of the Sun Princess featured in the series. Let’s hope they’ve got some backup for Issac at the bar!
If you want to take a ride on The Love Boat Regal Princess, cabins on the three-night cruise departing November 6 out of Fort Lauderdale start at $329 per person plus taxes (double occupancy) via the Princess website.
Their ship was the Pacific Princess.
You are correct… Pacific Princess was the primary ship used but they actually used eight different ships during the duration of the show. Sun Princess was the one they used for the Caribbean only.
