Weekly Recap – August 4-10
Happy Monday! And a special hello to all the readers of BoardingArea.com where I am a guest featured blogger this week! Every Monday we publish a weekly recap of what Jetsetter’s Homestead covered in the previous week, just in cased you missed something.
Last week we dug in deep to research the practical application of the reciprocal upgrade policies for American Airlines and US Airways elites as the merger integration slowly (very slowly) progresses forward with a four-part series:
- Part I covered American Airlines elites upgrading on US Airways
- Part II covered US Airways elites upgrading on American Airlines
- Part III covered itineraries that mix American and US Airways flights
- Part IV covered to-date experiences and best practice strategies
I shared my disdain for other internet writers who widely distribute misleading travel advice. But I picked up a brilliant idea (the wearable carry-on) from some chaps on a Singapore to Sydney flight. I also shared again that I don’t pimp credit cards and fully disclosed my affiliate relationships.
We also viewed United’s new safety video. And also a video for a new ManServant business in San Francisco.
Also on the fun side of things, I shared what happens at my house when I am off planes for too long. And I drank Singapore Slings… in Texas.
Speaking of drinks – if you are DFW-based, come see me tomorrow night at Grace in Fort Worth. I’ll be serving up drinks as a Celebrity Bartender from 5 to 7 pm to raise money for Texas Tech University scholarships. And don’t forget that DFW Restaurant Week starts today!
